Lens Types…

Single Vision

Single vision glasses are intended to aid those who have farsightedness, nearsightedness, or astigmatism and require correction. These glasses contain a single optical prescription correction and distribute focus uniformly over the whole lens surface area. The majority of people who use glasses have this kind. Bifocal or multifocal eyeglasses are required if you have numerous prescriptions.

Progressive Vision

Progressive or varifocal lenses give a seamless transition from distant correction to near correction, removing segment lines and permitting good vision at all distances, including intermediate, close, and distant. It varies from a bi-focal in that there is a gradual change in the prescription rather than a sharp line produced in the lens. The very top of the lens works great for distance. The bottom section becomes gradually stronger, with the strongest area at the very bottom for reading.

Office Progressives

Office lenses are a type of supplemental varifocal lens that is intended to improve close-to-intermediate jobs including computer work, reading, and writing. They give multifocal power for proximal tasks within 4m, making them ideal for occupational activity and household applications like cooking.
